Heads Up

Howard Staab at Escorts hospital, New DelhiJust a quick update to tell you that we'll be publishing an interview with Maggi Ann Grace, author of State of the Heart - A Medical Tourist's True Story of Lifesaving Surgery in India.

Every time I think that the latest interview was something really special, the next one comes along and tops the previous one. Maggi Ann Grace has a special story to tell you folks, and this is one story you don't want to miss, believe me. More on this in a a couple of days, when we publish her interview.

Eileen Clemenzi - Medical TouristIn other medical tourism news, The South Florida Sun-Sentinel has a report on the growth and popularity of medical tourism among people who are uninsured.

"Clemenzi said she was impressed not only with her care, but with the honesty of the doctors in Malaysia: She thought both her hips needed replacing and paid for two in advance. But the doctors said the pain in her right hip was being caused by years of favoring the injured left and would subside. They only replaced one hip, she said, and refunded the difference."

Well, at least that tells us that Healthcare Management around the world aren't as crooked or greedy as those in New York....
