Joint Commission Resources - JCI Accreditation

You can go round and round in the world of medical tourism, and all roads, or in this case, hospitals, eventually will land up at Joint Commission Resources for an accreditation, better known as JCI accreditation. As per their own description, JCR is a global, knowledge-based organization which disseminates information regarding accreditation, standards development and compliance, good practices, and health care quality improvement. Joint Commission Resources is dedicated to helping health care organizations world-wide to improve the quality of patient care and achieve peak performance.

And what do they offer to international hospitals? JCI’s standards for hospitals have proven their value in public and private organizations of all sizes in Europe, South America, Asia and the Middle East. Simply put, if a hospital shows that it can live up tho the standards required by JCI, they're good enoug to get a certification of endoresement from JCR, and they're good enough for international medical tourists seeking treatment overseas.
